Crocheting the Jasmine Stitch

Dear community,
Have you already tried the jasmine stitch? It’s a very decorative star stitch.

I’m bumping this back up again. 

It looks really nice, but I haven’t tried it yet.

I tried it pretty early on in my crocheting journey and wanted to make coasters out of it. It didn’t turn out quite as planned, let’s just say. Very crooked, irregular, and wavy—it was really hard to look at. ;) Now that I’m much more experienced, maybe I should give it another try. However, the pattern ends up quite thick because of all the yarn overs, so it’s definitely not suitable for every project.

I think the pattern is great. I’ve already crocheted a hat and a few other small items, like a cell phone case and a coffee mug holder. It’s really fun to crochet this pattern.
