🍂 Crocheting for the start of winter—what’s on your list? ❄️

I think the transition into fall is always something very special—the colors change, things get cozier, and suddenly you feel the urge to sit on the sofa in the evening with some yarn and a warm cup of tea. 🧶💫

Over the last few days, I’ve been sorting through my projects and thinking about which little things I’d like to crochet now to make winter cozy. This time, my list is full of home decor ideas and accessories—things that make everyday life more beautiful when it’s cold outside.

Unless I need some seasonal decor, I actually crochet or knit “neutral” projects all year round—like amigurumi or something similar.
Right now I’m knitting a walrus in a sweater, which is perfect for the cooler season. And starting in the middle of the month, there’ll be another Mystery CAL from Lacritza—of course I’ll be joining in again.
I’ve also been getting her Advent calendar for a few years now (I’ve already ordered it again), and it includes a Mystery CAL and some surprise patterns, so December is already pretty packed.
I’m not crocheting any gifts this year, and I don’t need any decorations for Halloween or Advent right now either. I still have plenty of scarves and socks, so I’m just going with the flow and seeing whatever strikes my fancy as I pick up my needles.

I’m still totally into pumpkins🎃 and Halloween👻🍬.

I haven’t thought about Christmas gifts yet, but the kids have asked for Christmas stockings. So I’ll start in November so that some will be ready for St. Nicholas Day.

Then I’d like to sew myself a throw with Christmas motifs, but I don’t have a concrete plan for that yet

I actually wanted to start a cardigan, but right now I’m lacking the motivation for big projects. For now, I have a shoulder warmer on my needles. Sometimes I just need quick wins. In any case, I’m definitely in the mood for thick, warm yarns right now...

Good morning!

I’ve already knitted a few mini cashmere scarves, which my mom got for her birthday last week. I’m going to make a few for myself in different colors and with different yarns, as well as a few in merino for the kids.
I also have slipovers and vests on my list—both knitted and crocheted. I love these pieces—quick to throw on and so nice and warm. And they look cute ❤️
And at least one poncho for ME—yeaaaaa… let whoever wants to come, I’m going to be soooo selfish and not give it away this year 😂—that’s what I want to knit.
Other than that, I’m not making any plans—I’ll just knit and crochet whatever comes to mind. Like yesterday, when I actually crocheted 11 HackySacks. 😄

I’m already eagerly crocheting Christmas gifts for my kids. Since they mostly want characters (Pokémon 😅), I need plenty of time for this, because the next wave of colds usually doesn’t take long to arrive starting in October 🙈 — and then I’ll be so glad for everything that’s already finished 😁
