Dear community,
Have you recently worked on a project that became a UFO = unfinished object, or was even completely abandoned?

Unfortunately, I have to put my latest UFO on hold because I ran out of yarn, and now I’m looking for yarn that’s very similar to this one. My yarn was a Black Friday deal.😞

I’ve had a project lying around for weeks made from old yarn stash—crocheted circles that, in theory, are supposed to become a vest.
I don’t know if I’ll ever get back to it.

I started making a cuddly pillow for one of my grandchildren. Then I ran out of yarn, so I improvised a bit, but eventually reordered some wool. Somehow, I’ve hit a snag. It’s been sitting around for a while now. But I’ve made a firm resolution to have it finished by St. Nicholas Day.

My mom gave me a crochet kit (actually, two of the same kind) for a little dragon. I was supposed to crochet them for my two kids. Well, to avoid any arguments, I started both at the same time—but I’ve put them on hold for now because I have too many of my own ideas for other little stuffed animals swirling around in my head that I want to bring to life 🙈

I always have about 5–9 projects on the go… and with each one, I hope it’ll get finished someday 😆
After all, even with small steps over the years, you’re still making progress. The only thing I’ve ever sold on Trödel—completely set aside or unfinished—was a sweater… that was missing just one sleeve. Since it took so many years to make, I couldn’t remember how to continue, and the person it was meant for no longer liked the colors.

My last project was a raglan cardigan knitted from the top down, with a large pearl stitch pattern using size 5 needles. I’d finished it, and it looked good, too. Then I tried it on—the result: the cardigan was too wide. So I unraveled it down to just below the sleeves, decreased a few stitches, and started over. When it was finished again, I tried it on—it fit, though it was still a bit “oversized” at the shoulders. It would have worked, though, since you’d still wear a sweater or something similar under the cardigan. Yesterday I unraveled it completely because I just didn’t like it anymore and I definitely wouldn’t have worn it. The end result now: 600 g of yarn in the closet and no idea what to do with it.
