Well, fry me a stork...

No, of course not! 

      
It was perched on the roof of my Hermes parcel shop on Saturday. I managed to “snap” a picture of it on my way to go shopping 😉

Does it only have one leg? 

He also looked very disheveled. I couldn’t tell if his other leg might have been injured. By the time I came back, he was gone.

Poor thing 😥

I hope it’s doing well. Otherwise, there won’t be any more babies...😏

They do like to stand around on just one leg sometimes.
But wait a minute, I also spotted a stork the other day....

How lovely, a stork. 

I haven’t seen one around here this year, but they’re more likely to stray into our area. 

All our stork pairs are back. I’ve already seen 10 pairs with their chicks.

For example, storks only stand on one leg when they’re sleeping. That way, they wake up faster in an emergency and can take off immediately if necessary.
Another reason is that storks’ legs are very long and have no feathers—so no insulation. That’s why they usually tuck one leg up to their belly to keep it warm. After a while, they switch legs, of course.
