Dear Community,
Is your crafting going well, or have you had to frog anything?

Things are going pretty smoothly right now.
My unraveling project has turned into a beautiful jacket.

Right now I’m crocheting a shirt with a lace pattern for myself. Well, sort of. 😉 The first pattern turned out too loose with my yarn. The second one pulled together sideways. The third one is turning out nice, but the gauge was tighter than what ended up happening on the shirt—so I had to rip it out again. My next attempt will have to wait a bit longer because another project for my son is more important right now. Just the usual craziness.

I haven’t had to rip anything out or take anything apart.

But I did finish two sewing projects.

And a larger zippered bag for my upcoming vacation. Can you guess where I’m going?

I don’t like unraveling. But recently, I restarted a project about four times (after just a few rows) because I didn’t like the beginning at all according to the pattern. I ended up doing it differently than the pattern said, and I think it turned out better that way.

I made so many silly mistakes in my current shawl that I had to rip out a lot of it. It’s getting a 2-day break now.

Hi everyone,

I’m still crocheting a triangular shawl (AL by Mad me). After crocheting quite a few rows, I spotted a mistake. The symmetry wasn’t right, so I unraveled it for now, and here I go again.

Hugs, Andrea 😍

Oh Andrea, unraveling with bobbles is even more stressful. You really can’t let anything get tangled, because you want to keep working with the color gradient. But if the symmetry suffers because of a mistake, that’s obviously a no-go. It’s a shame you always don’t notice it until so late.

Well, you’ll manage just fine. The journey is the destination.

I didn’t have to rip anything out. I’m currently busy with the cherries in my garden.

Have a lovely evening, everyone.
Warm regards, Ina

I just have to write another comment. While I was scrolling, I had Petra’s sewing project open in another window. That’s why I only just now saw the sewn strawberry. It’s absolutely beautiful—a real eye-catcher! The patterned fabric of the strawberry, plus the matching colors for all the other details around it—everything goes together perfectly. And the curved seams along the edge are eye-catching, too. Really great! You sure know how to make beautiful things... :-)

Best regards, Ina

Thanks, Ina, for your compliment. I really appreciate it. In the meantime, the planned placemat has turned into a wall hanging, and it’s hanging on the door

I didn’t have to rip anything out either. Right now I’m crocheting simple dish towels—nothing can really go wrong with those.

Good morning

Wow, Petra—it looks great as a wall hanging, too. I especially like the idea with those clips and the branch.
Great work.

Have a wonderful weekend of crafting, everyone!
