Rose Greetings for the Weekend

On Wednesday, after a long time, the rain we had been longing for finally arrived. Now I can watch the roses really take off and delight my heart in all their splendor.

This morning I took a walk around (laughing—actually a snail-checking round) and snapped a few pictures for you.

Fragrant rose by the entrance area — unfortunately, the rain made many petals fall here. 



On Tuesday before the rain, there were only a few salmon-colored tips on the rose — a hint of what was to come. Today so many are already blooming.

We’re still waiting for a drop of rain—everything is really very dry.

Thankfully, it rained so much here that the barrels are full again

Such beautiful roses, Petra. The wild rose, in particular, is a sight to behold.

Over the last three days, we’ve only had about five drops per square meter, but today we’ll get a bit more—though it’s still nowhere near enough.
