Help! BVB socks and hat for a 10-year-old

Hi,
I’ve been tasked with knitting a hat and socks with a BVB design. Knitting isn’t a problem (except for the boomerang heel), but does anyone have a pattern I can follow?

Dear Renate,

the BVB logo is legally protected - I wouldn’t dare offer it publicly as a pattern. The result could be an expensive cease-and-desist letter.

However, there are free programs you can use to create your own knitting pattern:

KnitPro
MyPhotostitch
Create charts .

Maybe they’ll help you.

Hi, thanks for your reply. Well, this whole boomerang heel thing… it’s endless. Regular “heels” are no problem at all, but with these short rows, I just can’t seem to get it right—even though I can usually manage just about anything else.
There are some great tutorials online, so I’ll probably sit down with my needles and give it a try. Now I just need an idea for the BVB logo so the little guy is happy too. His brothers are getting hand-knitted items from other clubs, so I’ll have to come up with something. Best regards

And thanks so much for the tips about the logo. I’ve already thought about asking at a craft store in Dortmund. We’ll see how I figure this out. I’ve got to make this work somehow!

Why not ask Mr. Google—you’ll find tons of pictures with the logo there. Download them, save them, and then insert them as an image into one of the programs. Choose your colors, start the program, and you’ll have a template in no time.
