I’d rather not wear anything at all! But if it’s absolutely unavoidable (because of frost, for example), then I’d go with sneaker socks.

Sneaker socks in spring and summer, long socks/wool socks in fall and winter 😉😁

I actually always wear socks, though I might wear sneaker socks once in a while. If I don’t wear socks in my shoes, I immediately get chafing or blisters. I only go barefoot when it’s really hot or when I’m wearing flip-flops.
