These beautiful
star-shaped tealight holders make a lovely table decoration. You can crochet about 5 of them from one skein of cotton yarn. In white, they’re especially suitable for a christening, First Communion, or wedding celebration. In red, green, or gold, you can use them during the Christmas season, and bright, colorful shades are perfect for spring and summer. So as you can see, this is an ideal project for using up leftover yarn!

This charming
beaded little bag can also be crocheted from leftovers. I used 15 g of cotton yarn for it. It makes a lovely gift for a young girl for First Communion (e.g., with a rosary) or confirmation. You don’t have to crochet it with white yarn; you can choose the recipient’s favorite colors. She can then also use it for cosmetics, coins, or as discreet storage for her first tampons.

And finally, something to knit: you’ll need about 40 g of cotton yarn for a
washcloth or dishcloth like this with a knitted-in letter in a knit-and-purl pattern. There is a chart for the motif, but it is also written out row by row. In the pattern, you’ll find all 26 letters of the alphabet.
