Crafts So Far in 2026: How Much Have You Managed to Get Done?

2026 is far from over. There’s still plenty to do. How many patterns have you made, or even written / published? How many skeins of yarn and meters of fabric have you used up? Have you bought more supplies or worked through your stash? Tell me about it. 

Phew, that’s a tough one—I don’t keep track of that. But definitely less than usual, since I’ve been traveling more again and taking vacations. Then a friend asked for an Urmel—that was a bit complicated—and it took two prototypes before the third one turned out usable, which held me up for a long time (so I definitely won’t be becoming an author 🤣).

I sewed exactly two items—a curtain and a pillowcase—and also shortened and/or took in a few pairs of pants. I’d love to sew a starfish-shaped pillow, but I haven’t found the right pattern yet.

I’ve crocheted and knitted probably around 30 items so far, and yes, not just from scraps—I’ve also bought more yarn. But now I’ve made a firm resolution to make as much as possible exclusively from scraps, because I’m naturally going to treat myself to the LaCritza Advent calendar again, and then I’ll need room for lots of new yarn.

So far, I’ve knitted a pair of socks, two jackets, a scarf, two doilies, and a triangular shawl.

I’ve crocheted two coasters.

I’ve also started and unraveled quite a few projects.
