No, Ina, we don’t have little kids like that in our family anymore. They’re all young adults already—almost 20, 27, 29, and 30 years old, plus a teen who turns 15 in August. Things like that are uncool now.

I picked up two packs of white eggs today, and I’ll get started on dyeing them tomorrow. My parents will get their colorful breakfast eggs, too.

Dear Andrea, you won’t believe it, but white eggs were sold out here today. So no good for last-minute shoppers.

We also have four chickens, but they only lay brown eggs—though they’re 100% organic. So we use those for dyeing. You can also paint them. These days, there are markers for just about any surface.

Wow, Ina, your bag turned out absolutely beautiful. And you even attached a little picture to it, so everyone knows who the bag belongs to. That’s pure joy for everyone involved. The egg looks very artistic, too. And there’s a little doll on top of that.

Ina, your bag is a hit once again!!!

I also had an experience today that really touched me. Because of my husband’s care level, we’ve had a lovely person named “Olga” for a few weeks now who helps us with cleaning once a week for two hours. She’s such a kind, honest person—no frills, just gets things done. She’s Greek, and I know that Greeks celebrate Easter in a special way. A bit like Christmas is for us?
So today I left her a little crocheted gift, some sweets, and a card with a little money inside. When she arrived, I showed it to her and thanked her for being so kind. She couldn’t believe it and started crying. That made me feel ashamed, because after all, she’s the one doing something for us, and such a small token of thanks should really be the least we can do.
