Crossed double crochet stitches

Dear community,
How do you do the crossed double crochet stitches?

Hi,
here’s how I crochet them:
Make a double crochet in the next-but-one stitch, then for the second double crochet, yarn over, bring the crochet hook behind the first double crochet, insert it to the right of it, and finish the double crochet. 

I’ve added two photos; I hope it’s understandable.
