Making Granny Blankets

do you have any tips and tricks for making granny blankets?

my only tip is to weave in all the loose ends as early as possible, because they can really add up, and otherwise you’ll end up spending hours on it at the very end.

If the color of the last round of all the granny squares is the same and you then crochet the squares together using that same color, the seam is less noticeable. There are various techniques for crocheting the squares together that create an invisible seam. But if the colors are the same, it’s even better.
