Dear Community,
We have plenty of patterns for slippers and house socks in our shop, but most of them aren’t suitable for wearing outside. What can you do to actually be able to go outside in these shoes?

I’ve already sewn a few pairs of espadrilles myself—you can buy ready-made soles suitable for outdoor use and then sew the fabric for the upper onto them.

There are also patterns for leather shoes,
which include soles suitable for outdoor use.
That’s not the same as crocheted shoes.
I’m not sure if there are patterns for those types of shoes available here.

I crochet my shoes onto what are called “BOTTIE” soles—these soles are suitable for outdoor use. You can buy the soles online or at some yarn shops.
