Natural Fiber

Hi everyone, I’m new here and don’t have much forum experience… but I do love crocheting and knitting!
Maybe you can give me a few tips. I love yarn cakes… but I’m also concerned about the environment, and since I recently saw a report saying that a lot of microplastics end up in our waterways from washing, I’d like to use only natural fibers from now on. But not just cotton. While searching, I was shocked to discover that poly… is mixed in everywhere…
Does anyone know of a yarn cake workshop that makes only natural-fiber yarn cakes—for example, with modal, silk, linen, merino… etc.?

Your resolution is very commendable. I also always pay close attention to the materials—not only for environmental reasons, but also for health reasons.

I crocheted a cake of 100% merino wool for a baby blanket in 2019. Back then I bought it online from the company Wollbonbon. You could choose the colors, the yardage, and the material. 



The internet tells me now that this company Wollbonbon probably no longer exists. But if you google Wollbonbon and 100% merino wool, several shops come up that carry things like that.

There is also a large selection of cakes made from natural raw materials on etsy . You’re sure to find something there.
