Are you crafting for Valentine’s Day or for Carnival?

Dear users, dear authors,
are you crafting for Valentine’s Day or Carnival / Fasnacht / Carnival, or is decor for Easter and spring / springtime more important to you?

Nope, because neither of those plays a big role for us. Valentine’s Day is just a money-making machine for the industry, and anyone who can’t show their partner or loved ones that they’re important to them really is to be pitied. I think you can show that every day in one way or another. For me, it’s just as unnecessary as Mother’s Day!
Carnival has passed us by for years now; the only thing we treat ourselves to during Carnival is the annual gathering in Veitshöchheim—that’s enough for us.

I don’t really celebrate Fasching anymore since my kids (now 37 and 40) aren’t little anymore.

For Valentine’s Day, I do a little bit of decorating. Last year I did some embroidery, and I’ll be putting out these little pillows again.

I’d like to make another one for 2025, but I’m still working on designing a motif.

Inge and Petra, I feel the same way as both of you.

I have quite a few spring and Easter decorations, and I’ll be bringing those out again.

Petra, I really like your embroidery—you’ve gotten really good at it.

I just don’t get into Carnival at all—not even my husband, who was born in Cologne; we used to always go on vacation during that time. And I’m not really a fan of clowns either, so no, no Carnival crafts.
Valentine’s Day is just one day, after all—unlike Advent, when you need special decorations for a bit longer—so no, I don’t do that either.
Although I am still looking for a brilliant idea for the time between Christmas and Easter.
