Knitting a Spiral Pattern

is the knitted spiral pattern similar to the crocheted spiral pattern, or can they not be compared?

A true spiral runs continuously within rounds that build on one another. That’s why it’s found in pieces that are knitted in the round, such as infinity scarves, hats, socks, and gloves.
Both knitting and crocheting can be done in rounds. In knitting, the “rounds” are spirals. When crocheting, you can choose to work in rounds (starting with a slip stitch, chain stitches to “move up” to the next round) or in spirals (without a specific round start).

I can’t give you a definitive answer because I don’t understand what you’re getting at.

I saw the knitted spiral pattern on an amigurumi, and it was explicitly mentioned again in the product description.
So does that mean knitting in rounds is always also a spiral pattern because, unlike crochet, there are no chain stitches / turning chains / beginning chains in knitting?
