Pom-poms on hats: yes or no?

Dear users, dear designers,
do you like pom-poms / pom-poms on your hats, or not so much?

It depends on the hat whether it has a pom-pom or not. My husband would never wear a hat with a pom-pom; I don’t care either way.

It depends on the person.

I’m not a pom-pom kind of person. My grandson loves pom-poms—the bigger, the better. 

I’m not a big fan of hats—I don’t really like having anything on my head—but if I do wear one, it absolutely has to have a pom-pom or tassel! :-)

Just no pom-poms made from real fur! They’re usually made from the fur of raccoon dogs, which are kept in agonizing conditions in cages, beaten to death with sticks, and then often skinned alive. It’s better to make your own pom-poms from leftover yarn or faux fur scraps!

I think wool pom-poms on hats can be very decorative sometimes. ❤️

However, I also remember well the days when people used to pull hats off by the pom-pom. That wasn’t so funny. 😉
So I understand why some people don’t want a pom-pom on their hat.

I’m not really a hat fan either—I prefer hoods—but in Norway, those Norwegian hats have a braided ribbon on both sides with a pom-pom at the end, and I like that. I used to have one like that.
