I have knitted spiral socks for you. This type of sock is knitted without a heel. Thanks to the pattern, the sock adapts to the shape of the foot and can therefore be worn across several sizes. They’re ideal as guest socks or for our children and grandchildren.

Sock yarn - not just for socks! These days, there are sock yarns so soft that we can easily knit or crochet cowls and other accessories from them! And when the leftover yarn box is overflowing, it’s time to put those well-guarded yarn treasures to good use! Plus, it’s great fun to combine leftover yarn, play with colors, and let your creativity run free! As a bonus, your yarn stash gets smaller and you end up with beautiful gifts for you and your loved ones!

I’d like to show you my 2 favorite projects for 4-ply sock yarn leftovers here:

The HAPPY SCRAPPY cowl is a lightweight cowl that sits away from the neck, not too warm and therefore ideal for the transitional seasons and also comfortable to wear indoors. I knitted it from leftovers of 4-ply sock yarn. It’s simple but not boring to knit, because the different colors and the enchanting “dandelions” add variety!

Get the knitting pattern right here: HAPPY SCRAPPY cowl

And if you’d like to use up even the tiniest leftover yarn, you can knit the matching arm warmers to go with the cowl!
You’ll find the knitting pattern for them here: HAPPY SCRAPPY arm warmers

And now I wish you lots of fun scrapping, playing with colors, and of course knitting!
Warm regards, Annette (fil-art-aue)

You can not only knit socks from sock yarn, but also crochet them.
You can customize my cuffed socks to suit your preferences.
You can work the cuff closed or with a side slit.
You can also adjust the height / width of the cuff to your liking.
The pattern includes detailed written instructions with many pictures and a short version.
100 g of 4-ply sock yarn with a yardage of 400-420 m is enough for one pair of socks.

Hand warmers made from sock yarn are nice and warm, even when there are no thumbs or fingers.
This way, your hands stay warm and your fingers still have freedom of movement.
From my “Noriaki” hand warmer series I’d like to show you the “Noriaki II” hand warmers.
They are crocheted in Japanese style.
A clever crochet technique that even beginners can tackle.
This pattern also includes many pictures and detailed written instructions that describe everything very precisely, from the starting stitches to finishing.

Have fun crocheting, Mona (Froschoma_Mona)
