Cosmetic Pouch

I need a few gifts soon, so I sewed these little makeup bags today. I’ve had the pattern in my collection for quite a while now :-)

Dear Inge, you must have been in a hurry when you took the photos?

I think the four little pouches are very pretty; everyone who receives one will surely be delighted. Maybe you could add a little surprise to each pouch—something fitting for the occasion?

I know you’d rather be at the sewing machine or embroidery machine, but in the end I’d also love to see a nice photo of your creations. I always want to take a really close look at everything ... the fabric, the pattern, the buttons, the details, maybe even the inside. I think that after so much sewing work, these little pouches simply deserve it. Show them off!

Ina, you’re right—I wanted to do that too, but as so often happens, something came up. Here are some pictures of the inside of the little pouches. The lining used to be a blouse that belonged to a school friend of mine; I think it works well for this :-) I sewed the stripes in once crosswise and once lengthwise.

Yes, I also think the lining goes well with the outer fabric. And the pattern on the outer fabric is very pretty, too—so neutral. Everyone who receives one should love it.
