Dear users, dear authors,
dear little helpers,
what are you working on today? Can you finish a project this week?

UFOs aren’t on my agenda

right now. My strawberries are done for this year, and now there’s a new embroidery design.

The outer pattern is finished. I dyed the fabric on Sunday—with coffee. I like it when it looks old and stained.

And the garden still needs some attention, too

Since it’s raining constantly, there’s no point in going outside, but I have some crochet orders and am now making unicorns—probably three of them. Other than that, I’m adding a little ring to the temperature snake every day, and I still need to sew zippers into two little pouches.

Unfinished projects upon unfinished projects......

I have about 25 unfinished projects—amigurumis, triangular shawls, and loop scarves—lying around.
No sooner have I finished 2 or 3 than 3 or 4 more pile up. I’m sure many of you can relate.

When I’m browsing Crazy Patterns and my collection of craft books and magazines, I always find something new I’d love to make.
And then my project list just keeps getting longer. 😬😬 Ugh.

Plus, I’ve got a few sewing projects left unfinished—a coat, summer dresses, and T-shirts that need to be finished.

Right now, I’m working on three triangular shawls and a crocheted scarf all at the same time.
Today I’ll work on this one, and then the next day on the other.

And now comes that lovely time of year when I love being outside and want to pursue my other hobbies: hiking, walking through the city, and discovering hidden courtyards, passageways, and photographing beautiful facades. Even if you’ve lived in the same city for many years, there are always new things to explore.

So, unfortunately, some of my unfinished projects will have to wait for bad weather or even late fall and winter. Or maybe in the evening in front of the TV, if I’m not too tired.

I still have to go to work, after all.🙄

Have a wonderful day, everyone!🐲🌼

I’d planned to finish two comfort blankets during our 4 1/2-week family vacation… but how often did I actually have time to crochet? Two evenings 😅 weren’t quite enough after all… and since then? As always, two little kids take up a lot of time, and now I’ve also gone back to my main job after parental leave… unfortunately, that means my projects keep getting pushed back further and further. But I’m glad I’m not alone, and things are slowly starting to settle down again 🤪

I imagine that on a family vacation with two small children, there isn’t much time left for crafts. You’re probably too tired for your needles in the evening and just want to enjoy the peace and quiet.

I’d like to take some new yarn with me on vacation and not let unfinished projects spoil my mood. I still have a little over a week to decide what I’d like to work on while I’m away. We’re also going on a family vacation—though with our grown children and a grandson who’d rather spend time with his grandpa. So I have more than enough time for my needles.

I sewed another trivet/pot holder. And my embroidery project is coming along too, though I don’t have a picture of it right now.
