Increase stitches after closing the sleeves in a top-down raglan?

Hi everyone,
I’m crocheting a top-down raglan sweater, but unfortunately I tried it on too late and realized that it’s too tight around my belly. The yarn can’t be unraveled, so I don’t want to make the same mistake on my second sweater of this kind.
I don’t want to close the sleeves later, since they fit well.

What’s the best way to increase stitches after closing the sleeves so the sweater doesn’t end up too tight around my belly again?

Hi Nieana,
I’d just say that you need to keep doing the raglan increases until it fits your bust. You can then crochet the sleeves to your desired width by decreasing evenly. Since you now know the exact width.
If you work up to the sleeve as you’re planning and then only increase on the body, it won’t look good.

Hmm, okay, then I’ll probably just keep crocheting. Now that I think about it, that’s true, it would probably look strange. Thanks for the info.
