Sewing on a hood

are there any tips for sewing on a hood on knitted and crocheted models, too?

Pin it securely and sew slowly. I use the overlock stitch on my sewing machine. I’ve already doubled up the hood. (That is, I’ve sewn two hoods together along the front edge so that both the outside and inside have a neat, nice finish.)
I like to make my hoods so that they overlap at the front. It looks neater that way. To do this, you need to make the hood a little wider than the neckline. So cut it larger, or just adjust the bottom edge if it’s not included in the pattern.
This also works for knitted or crocheted pieces.
