Button Band for Jacket / Vest

Dear users, dear authors,
are there any tips and tricks for button bands on vests / jackets when knitting, crocheting, and sewing?

There are cut-on button plackets and attached button plackets. The cut-on placket is integrated into the sewing pattern and is cut out together with the front pieces. The attached button placket is cut out separately and then, depending on the design, either hidden—that is, sewn on so that the seam edges aren’t visible—or left with visible raw edges, which is often the case with loden, double-faced fabrics, etc.
