Advantages of Crocheted Sweaters?

Dear users, dear designers,
what are the advantages of crocheted sweaters compared to knitted sweaters or sewn sweaters?

I prefer knitted sweaters. I just find them more flexible and stretchy than crocheted ones. The only time I like crocheted sweaters is for mesh sweaters in the summer.

The advantage of crocheted sweaters over knitted ones is, first, that they’re usually finished faster, and second, that it’s easier to try them on as you go while you’re working on them.

I think “real” sweaters are always knitted.
Crochet is usually reserved for very airy summer pieces—depending on the size of the holes, they’re more like something to wear over a top. I also imagine a thick, crocheted winter sweater as being rather heavy, stiff, and bulky.
As for sewn ones, to me they’re more like shirts—like sweatshirts, hoodies, or something like that.
