Fruit-shaped pompoms for hats

Hi, ladies

A long time ago, I saw a pattern online for making fruit-shaped pom-poms for hats—apples, pears, melons, and cherries. The page must be somewhere in my bookmarks, but unfortunately, I can’t find it anymore.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to make these fruit pom-poms? A friend of mine would like to make a hat shaped like a cherry or a pineapple with her daughter—and make the matching pom-pom to go with it. I tried to explain to them how to do it, but I wasn’t very successful. I’d have to figure it out for myself first, and I don’t have the patience for that right now. So I’d really appreciate any tips.
