Dear users, dear authors,
dear little helpers,
are you working hard? Who has bought yarn / materials? Who among you has a really large amount of yarn / materials, or lots of leftovers? Tell me about it.
Please upload only your own photos.

Oh no, I’m not taking any photos of that. You’d have me committed right away 😂

By the way, crocheting/knitting and collecting yarn are completely different hobbies! 😜

There’s this great app called Knit&Note. You can enter your stash there… it says I have too much 😂

Wow! Compared to that, I’m absolutely harmless. And lately I’ve been crocheting up a lot of scraps—my cotton stash is shrinking; I estimate I have about 3 kg left, at most.
I always have sock yarn on hand, because you always need socks every now and then—they’re quick and easy to knit on a whim—and I have about 600 g of that.
But I’ve bought quite a bit of new yarn lately; however, it’s all firmly planned out and will be used up soon—it’ll become a thick, cozy scarf for me and one for a dear friend, and then there’s also a crocheted sweater or jacket for me.

I have a listing like that, too...

I’ve listed 186 different types of yarn—oh my!

I haven’t bought anything, but I haven’t used up anything either. Right now, I’m embroidering and sewing.

In real life, I’ve been busy. There’s a church flea market this weekend, and I’ve already gathered three boxes full of things I no longer need.

Now that’s what I call a wool stash—and it’s really nicely organized 👍

My wool is scattered all over the house so no one realizes just how much I actually have 🤣

So I’m not alone! And despite all my good intentions, I “had” to buy more yarn again because, of course, I was missing exactly the right material! I buy new yarn on a project-by-project basis, and I have to dip into my stash—I’ve used up a few scraps, but it just takes a while to finish another piece! In February, I’ve already crocheted and knitted 75g of Tissa and 35g of Online 107.

I love you all!! I’ll go ahead and upload a picture of what things look like here, too.
Trivia question: What are my hobbies? Reading and crafts? How did you guess??? 😁

I know what you mean—I have similar boxes at home, stuffed full of yarn!

Reading and crafts ... I would never have thought of that 😂😂😂

I’m missing a room that I can set up to be all “book-filled and wooly.” Just like Petra, everything is scattered throughout my apartment, and of course, I’m always missing the exact yarn I need at that moment...😉

This is truly a phenomenon that deserves to be studied. No matter how many skeins you have at home, there’s always one missing!

No, Veronika, better not. Otherwise, “the man” might invent an antidote...😂

Oh my goodness, no—that would really be a disaster! .🤣

I’m glad I’m not the only one with this problem.
I don’t have quite that much yarn, but unfortunately, my yarn is scattered all over the apartment too. No space.
I’d also prefer to have everything in one place, but oh well.

My yarn is spread out across four fabric boxes, in a plastic box on top of the dresser, and in loose bags in the storage compartment under the sofa bed.
My husband has hobbies too (bicycles and model trains), which are stored in the “kids’ room,” and there I’ve managed to fit two fabric boxes and some shelves for my paper crafts, as well as my beads; the rest is crammed into the bed’s storage compartment.

Warm evening greetings from me

I don’t think my clutter is due to a lack of space (we have plenty of that here). I think I’ve hidden it so well so that I don’t suddenly realize I shouldn’t be buying anything. That way, I only see small amounts at a time and think my new purchase is totally fine.

I know it’s self-deception, but this way I can live with my passion just fine. And every now and then I find a skein I’d forgotten about and am thrilled with the discovery.

:D I think that’s a great answer! It made me laugh—
that’s just how an addiction is, right? I’ve also stashed wool everywhere :)
Best regards, Brigitte
