Reformation Day / Happy Halloween 2023

Dear users, dear authors,
if these two days are important to you, I wish you a peaceful Reformation Day and a happy Halloween.

I wish all readers here in this thread a relaxing Tuesday.

When I was in elementary school, going to church was part of the schedule. We’d walk to church as a class.

Today is a holiday for us.

For us, the next holiday isn’t until tomorrow—All Saints’ Day.
Halloween is celebrated rather modestly here; you hear more about it from other regions. When I was a kid, it didn’t even exist yet—St. Martin’s Day was the highlight of fall back then.
I think it’s nice that, since Halloween has become more popular, there are more and prettier fall decorations here too; in the past, the selection for Thanksgiving was rather limited.

We have a holiday tomorrow. I’ll be spending it cozying up with some crocheting. 

I hardly notice Halloween here at all—it’s not a big deal in this village. Our village is a former free imperial village and has therefore been predominantly Protestant for a long time.
A Catholic church wasn’t built until 1958.
