Dropped-stitch tops

Dear users, dear authors,
are dropped-stitch tops the new summer trend?

Especially in larger sizes, drop-stitch tops are ideal for concealing curves. They are light, airy, and incredibly quick to finish.

What lets in lots of air and sunshine in summer is also a fashionable highlight in the colder seasons as a throw-over over long-sleeved shirts. I love it when I can wear these wonderful pieces for more than just a few weeks a year.



This one is currently in progress and 50% finished. Give me a few more days and you’ll be able to admire it in full size and, of course, make it yourself too. But I’ll reveal this much already: the yarn is a dream made of 50% silk and 50% cotton (Katia Silk-Cotton), and even for a 2XL–5XL you’ll get by with 500 g / 1300 m of yarn for this lovely piece.

I find them nice and light. I'm crocheting a cotton shirt right now that feels much heavier to me... And that's with almost the same weight in grams.

Plus, I can always wear something different underneath the dropped-stitch top, which adds variety!
