Could someone maybe explain to me how to crochet this in filet crochet? In the pattern next to it, it says: 1 double treble crochet, but first work off 2x2 loops (I still understand that part), but then 1 not-quite-finished treble crochet into the same insertion point, work off all the stitches on the hook 2 by 2.?????
Hi Petra,
if I understand correctly, this image isn’t yours?
Please confirm briefly. I’ll have to remove it if you don’t own the rights to it.
If the pattern is from Crazypatterns, you can contact the author and ask for help. If you give me the author’s name, I can reach out to the author on your behalf.
It’s just one stitch—I can’t explain it any other way. I made sure to show only that one stitch in the photo. No, it’s not my pattern; it’s from a newspaper. And I can’t get any answers to my questions at crazypatterns.
If I’m reading this correctly… you’re supposed to crochet a double treble crochet, but not quite finish it—so you’ll have two loops on the hook; leave them there. Now, in the same insertion point (the one from the double treble crochet), work a treble crochet, also without finishing it completely… Now you have two loops from your double treble crochet and two from the treble crochet on the hook—four in total. And now work them off together....
I hope I’ve explained this clearly....
