Five-Euro-Bill Pouch :-)

I collect €5 bills, and when I have enough saved up, I treat myself to something nice, whether it’s a lovely little piece of fabric or something else,
depending. So they don’t get lost in my wallet or accidentally
spent, they’re now going into a separate little pouch [Image removed]

Great idea! Both! I used to collect 50-cent coins for a while, but it takes forever to save up a worthwhile amount, so I switched to the 5-euro notes too.
And having a separate little bag for them is great—that way, they’re really “safe” for the time being. :-)

Veronika, I collect all the small change I have in my wallet—50-cent coins and smaller—in a candy jar all year long. By the end of the year, there can be up to €600 in there. Then I take it to the bank, exchange it, and use it to buy Christmas gifts if I still need any :-) It’s always incredibly heavy—coins weigh an awful lot :-) ;-)

That’s true. Here at the supermarket, there are machines that count coins and then print out a receipt.
But since I pay for most things with a card these days, small change is hardly an issue anymore. Even the baker prefers card payments for a roll rather than small change.
