I don’t really think so. But maybe that’s because not everyone uses the same symbols in knitting charts, which means you have to learn a new key every time.
Otherwise, with both, you just have to convert the symbols into the corresponding stitches.

I agree.
You just have to familiarize yourself with the symbols and terms used beforehand, and then nothing will stand in the way of successful knitting.
