Bralettes

Dear users, dear authors,
As far as I can tell, bralettes are in style—or rather, the trend is just getting started. In the U.S., this is apparently already a major trend.
Bralettes are a type of bra that’s very decorative, so the wearer can feel free to show a little skin on purpose. The line between a bralette and a top is blurred. However, bralettes don’t provide much support, so they’re not really suitable for larger busts. Women with an A cup size can really make a statement here.

Wouldn’t this be something you could easily crochet, knit, or even sew? It’s definitely a nice idea for summer—it could even replace a bikini top or a crop top.

Since tops, mesh shirts, cropped tops (the short, midriff-baring ones), and bikinis aren’t uncommon in crafting, I thought a question like this would fit well.
Do you think this topic is too silly, or can’t you think of anything to say about it at the moment?

Not really an option for a 95 F bust size — I don’t know anyone close to me who could wear something like that either... — it’s probably more something for teenagers and young adults.

I feel the same way. It looks great, but this is a trend that’s really only for very slim or very young people...
Since I don’t have any suitable “models,” I’m not really interested in creating a design. ;-)

I’m past that age. I think if you were to crochet or knit something like this, you’d definitely need a model to make the piece look good and really come across. You’d also have to work with a finer yarn. You’d probably find that more easily in Russian-speaking circles. They’re great at making stuff like this!
