Crocheting or knitting transitional clothing

Do you have any tips for crocheting or knitting transitional clothing?
By “transitional clothing,” I mean clothes for the time between winter and sunny weather—
when it’s too warm for a winter coat but not yet warm enough for lighter clothing.
Here in southern Germany, we do get some sunshine, but it’s not really warm yet.

For occasions like that, I either wear a sewn jacket made of boiled wool or, quite simply, a cardigan :-) I’m currently figuring out how to knit myself one in a blazer style.

A light jacket or cardigan—when it gets warmer, I knitted a short-sleeved jacket that packs down small and fits in my bag.

If I could knit properly, that would be great. I’ll have to see what I can find.
Some people are currently walking around in shorts, others in thick anoraks.
I still always bring a jacket with me, too.
