The fabric even matches the clothespins in color—how elegant! But I could have imagined all sorts of things when I heard “Zwicker sack”; I never would have thought of a clothespin pouch! 🤣🤣

“Zwicker” is a typical Franconian term for a clothespin :-) When I bought these yesterday, I asked the saleswoman at Kik if they had any “Zwickers” there, and she knew exactly what I wanted. :-)

I believe you—I don’t even have to travel all the way to Franconia to know that. I was born and raised in Essen, then lived in Duisburg and Düsseldorf for a few years before finally settling down in Cologne. They’re not that far apart, and in every city, quite a few things have different names.
