Snowy Owl Pattern

Hi, maybe someone can help me. I’m crocheting the snowy owl and made it to row 16 without any problems.
I don’t understand the pattern for row 17—row 16 ends with 20 stitches.
16) (sc the next 2 sts together, sc in the next 4 sts) repeat (20 sc) work the last 3 sts from the outside. (See picture below) 17) (sc in the next 47 sts, 2 sc in the next st) repeat (24 sc) work the first 3 sts from the outside. (See picture below)
