But I realized my fingers aren’t quite up to the task for such tiny teddy bears anymore. :-) Standing up, Fritzi is 10 cm tall, and sitting down, about 7 cm

What a delicate, painstaking piece of work, dear Inge. Hand-sewn, and such a tiny creation with so many individual parts and curves. It’s very cute, of course, and you can take it anywhere, but you’d be better off making the slightly larger teddy bears. A little cutie like this every now and then is fine. But your health comes first. And to be honest, I like the big teddy bears much better. You have more room to pet and cuddle them :-)

Ina, I used to sew even smaller teddy bears—my “Kleister” was only 6 cm tall. This one was a test run to see if I could still do it. Turning the tiny arms and legs inside out is really a challenge with these little ones; without tweezers or a hemostat, it’s just impossible.

My smallest hand-sewn teddy is 15 cm tall when standing, and that was more than enough for me—such a fiddly job!
