Little Wiggly Teddy

My fabric package from Buttin.tt arrived today—I ordered fabric for summer pants and 1 meter of plush fabric for Schlenkerteddys. :-)
I’ve sewn the first teddy bear, but there are more to come :-)

Oh my, he’s so cute! He’ll definitely be a child’s faithful companion.

Just looking at him brings joy… and even more so when you discover, marvel at, and cuddle him for the first time. How many teddy bears do you sew from 1 meter of plush fabric? You probably don’t have to worry about the grainline or anything like that. So there’d be very little waste, and the teddy would have loooads of little brothers.

Teddy bears always have such firm noses covered in velvet or something similar. What do you stuff them with, and how do you make sure the nose keeps its shape?

Thanks, Ina. How many teddy bears there will be depends on how big they are and how elaborate they are.
The grainline is important for teddy bears, because pile too—or especially pile—has a nap, and cutting against the nap doesn’t always look nice.
