Warm leggings are just the right thing for toddlers right now. They can move freely in them and stay nice and warm. These leggings come up high over the tummy and keep the back nice and warm, too. They’ll even grow with your child for a while, so knitting them is definitely worth it.
The yarn I used is about as thick as thin sock yarn. Experienced knitters will have no trouble recreating these leggings. They fit children from about 1.5 to 3 years old.

I knitted this hat with a shawl collar for my granddaughter because, as a baby, she didn’t like having anything pulled over her head. Her parents were delighted because now the baby always had a warm head, and at the same time, her neck and throat stayed nice and warm.
The hat is easy to knit if you have some knitting experience. The pretty pattern was created by accident and has always been very well received.
