How do you celebrate Christmas with your children or grandchildren, or how did you used to celebrate it?

We try to keep traditions alive. Everything is always just like it’s been in past years. That’s how I did it with my own children, and that’s how we’re trying to continue the tradition with our grandson now.

Our Christmas break started yesterday. Yesterday, our grandson came over and helped us cut down the tree—just like every year. Grandpa was up on the ladder with the saw, while our grandson and I stood below, pulling on the rope to lower our Christmas tree. 



  Today we decorated it together and painted old, plain Christmas ornaments in bright colors.

And tomorrow we’d like to build a gingerbread house together—unfortunately, we weren’t able to do that during Advent because someone was sick.

We’re also trying to keep our Christmas celebration the same. Four generations gathered around our tree—I hope this continues for a long time to come.
