Today I’m introducing a few
native animals that you can all crochet using
leftover yarn. You’ll need less than one 50 g skein of each color for each animal. So gather up your leftovers and get to work!

In many countries, the
robin is a Christmas symbol that appears in many decorative items. In Germany, it was named Bird of the Year in 2021. So why not crochet one of these cute little birds and put it in your Christmas tree?
For the robin, you’ll need brown, beige, and orange-red cotton yarn leftovers

Following this pattern, you can crochet an entire
goose family: Mom and Dad Goose with their 3 goslings. The little ones have just hatched and are curiously exploring their surroundings. But of course, they always stay safely close to Mom and Dad.
For the goose family, you’ll need a total of 50 g of white and 20 g of yellow cotton yarn, as well as colorful leftovers for their headgear.
Kiki the squirrel is especially busy right now stocking up for winter. So be careful if you have any nuts lying around! But Kiki is so cute that you just can’t stay mad at him!
For Kiki, you’ll need 25 g of reddish-brown cotton yarn and, for the tail, some reddish-brown eyelash yarn or acrylic yarn (the latter can then be brushed vigorously with a pet brush to make the tail nice and bushy).
