Mandala ..

.. sewn using the paper piecing method. I spent days working on this piece and wanted to show it to you, since some of you are so enthusiastic about mandalas and have a soft spot for them. The sewing pattern was originally in a patchwork magazine.

Very, very beautiful, dear Inge! But it also requires very precise work. The colors and shapes really seem to grow from the inside out. It reminds me of looking into a kaleidoscope I had as a child.

You’ve really made so many of these already, dear Inge. I see three grommets at the top—is your mandala a wall hanging?

Wow, what a work of art! Yes, it reminds me of a kaleidoscope, too. I loved those so much as a kid.
