Is boiled wool fabric loden or felt?

Dear users, dear authors,
I’ve once again read a product description and found boiled wool fabric, which can apparently be sewn quite well. What’s the difference between loden and felt? Do you have any experience with boiled wool fabric?

Here’s where I read about the boiled wool fabric:

Walkloden is loden fabric; the word “Walk” actually just describes the manufacturing process for loden and other fulled fabrics, as well as felt. You can read about how the whole process works on Wikipedia, as this is a very complex topic that’s actually quite difficult to describe—when made well, loden is even water-repellent and better than a plastic raincoat because it’s breathable and you don’t feel like you’re in a mini-sauna when wearing it. Loden is made from pure sheep’s wool and is fulled and felted using a special process; this requires a lot of hot water, soapy water, and a roller that repeatedly smooths the loden until it reaches the desired thickness. Good loden costs a small fortune and can be passed down through generations. I once Googled how much you have to pay for good loden, but I closed the page again very quickly because it was way beyond my budget—it makes your head spin when you see what they’re asking for.
Felt can also be made from textile fibers other than wool, but it’s basically produced in the same way as loden.
