Baby booties are on the knitting needles
2 dishcloths are waiting to be finished
There are still ends to weave in on a triangular shawl
A denim bag still needs an appliqué
I still need to shorten a curtain
I hope I can finish the booties today. It’s too hot for gardening.
As a grandma, I like to set a good example and am very disciplined—
except when it comes to my pile of unfinished knitting and crochet projects. ☹
Right now, I have 1 knitting project and 4 crochet projects in progress.
The knitting project is in its final stages.
One crochet project has to be finished by next Thursday.
The rest aren’t urgent; I’ll work on them a little bit here and there, depending on my mood.
Oh, and there’s always a small project in my purse that isn’t counted here.
I only work on that when I’m out and about and have to wait.
I even use it to pass the time at red lights. 😉
I don’t have (or rather, don’t have anymore) a real UFO, though.
A while back, I unraveled (or as I always say, “untwizzled”) everything that had been sitting around forever.
That creates space for new projects!
Wishing you lots of fun with your crafts, Mona (Froschoma Mona).
I only ever have one thing in progress at a time—I can’t handle having multiple projects started at once; it makes me nervous. It really bothers me when, for example, I have to hem a pair of pants or something like that while I’m in the middle of crocheting or knitting.
So far, I’ve actually “managed” to keep only one project on my needles at a time... Not counting the “waiting room project”—a dishcloth that fits in a small bag and gets some fresh air whenever I have to wait somewhere....
And once my gloves are off the needles, I’m already looking forward to the next project. But first I have to go out and buy the right yarn 😇
Right now, just a pillowcase on my knitting needles… but 1,000 follow-up projects in my head! I unraveled one UFO—a cardigan I’d been knitting on and off for two years. But since I’ve gained quite a bit of weight in the meantime 😓, it wouldn’t fit me anymore, so out came the unraveling monster.
When it comes to active sewing, I always take it one project at a time. I have several projects lying around, cut out and waiting:
- 1 yoga pillow insert + cover (I’ll be revising the ebook soon)
- 1 pair of underwear for my daughter
- 1 pair of underwear for my son
- 1 bag with appliqué for a Halloween ebook
Aside from that, I’m always working on projects in one way or another—like creating patterns or marketing individual items. I can’t really separate those things. I’m also still working on a skirt for women, a tunic for kids, and a hooded cape for kids for Halloween.
