Summer Scarf with Mixed Patterns

I’ve knitted a wide summer scarf with 19 different patterns and am now looking for a pattern to use as a border for the scarf. The side edge isn’t even because of the different patterns.
Can anyone help me with this?

If you’ve already knitted it, I’d recommend blocking the scarf first. The number of stitches should be the same throughout, right? After that, it’ll actually look much better, and adding the border will be easier.

Thanks for your message. I’ve blocked it and now want to add a border. I think it’ll look more finished that way. Do you know what an i-cord is? How do you make one?
