Fabric bleeds

Hi everyone,

I have some blue fabric at home that I’ve already washed. My purple and orange bedding, which I’ve washed many times, also bleeds a lot.

What can I do about this?

Try adding a splash of vinegar to the water; that should prevent the color from bleeding.

At dm (and probably other drugstores too), they sell color and stain catchers (Dr. Beckmann brand). They’re reusable terry cloth towels. You just put one of these towels in the washing machine drum with your laundry, and it absorbs the excess dye.

Color-catching sheets work well. I always put them in with my quilts.
