MINE Baby Jacket (Owl Jacket)

Hi everyone,
maybe someone can help me out:
I’d love to crochet this baby jacket (for my first grandchild). But I’d like to use a different yarn.
The pattern calls for yarn that’s 185m/50gr. I have a few skeins of “Cool Wool Baby” (220m/50gr)
from “Lana Grossa.” How do I adjust the size? (I enjoy crocheting, but I
haven’t been doing it for very long.) So far, I’ve crocheted hats and little angels, so I’m a bit unsure how to proceed here. Do I just need to add more rows?
Unfortunately, I haven’t received a reply from the author of the pattern…
so I’d really appreciate it if someone could help me out…

Hi Schwalbe,

is a gauge specified?
If so, you’ll need to crochet a 10x10 cm square using your yarn, count the stitches and rows, and compare it to the gauge.

Otherwise, unfortunately, only the pattern author can help.
