Sternchen’s little brother Manuel is here

Dear doll moms,

when I saw the little guy, it was love at first sight, and I just couldn’t resist… Manuel arrived today, so now Sternchen has a little brother who’s a perfect match for her. The two of them are already inseparable.

This is how Manuel arrived at my place (his hat had already been swapped out).



Of course, I changed his clothes right away. I actually found some clothes that fit him perfectly.



And here he’s getting to know Sternchen—the two of them are a perfect match.



Manuel is curiously taking in the world around him, and he’s sure to bring us a lot of joy. By the way, my husband was also amazed at how lifelike he looks.

He’s so cute, and he’s looking at this new world with such wonder. I hope you have lots of fun with your new doll.

No, Marlies, I’m not so sure anymore. I think I need to stay away from anything that even remotely looks like cute doll babies. I just discovered a little sister for Sternchen in my swap group. Then she’ll get to look after two of them (at least for now).... Or maybe.... I’ll pass her on to my granddaughter. We’ll see...

Wow, Monika—you’re probably the record holder here when it comes to the number of doll babies. And there are more and more: 3 new babies in 10 days—if you extrapolate that over a year... Does your husband even have any room left on your couch?

Yeah, of course my husband has room—our couch is big. And most of them sit together in the rocking chair. It’s pretty funny with the “daycare.” But it’s quite possible that the little newcomer will be adopted by one of my granddaughters. We’ll see when they’re here. But for now, I’m really done. I’m going to steer clear of all the dolls—especially the ones that are so incredibly cute.

Monika, your Manuel looks really cute in Sternchen’s outfit.

It hadn’t even occurred to me that something of hers might fit him. That’s so practical.

My Finn is just getting his first pair of pants. 

Yes, Marion, that fits very well. If you knit Mäxchen’s clothes with thinner yarn, it’ll definitely work out. The sweater’s a little loose on him, but it still looks fine. And the hat was a bit tight on Sternchen anyway. The pants were a bit short on Sternchen, so they fit great. But he’ll be getting his own clothes, too. The color worked well here, too—better than it would have for a girl.

Yes, that’s right, Andrea. We’ve already accumulated quite a collection. There’s still plenty more to come, because I never run out of ideas.

So, now my “daycare” is full. Baby No. 10 moved in over the weekend and has already settled in nicely. The little one (far left) is named Lara and is a real ray of sunshine—she spreads pure joy. Sternchen is also thrilled about her new little sister.

It’s crazy what doll babies can do. It’s just so much fun with them.

Your Lara is such a cuddly little cutie, Monika. You’ve got quite a sweet little gang there, and they’re all dressed so nicely.
Now all we need is a photo of all your babies together.

Andrea—yes, she’s such a sweetheart, the twin sister of your Laura. It’s really so much fun with the babies.

Petra, Paula’s winter suit is made from a yarn that gradually changes colors. I found it really exciting to knit with. Unfortunately, the size didn’t quite work out, so I ended up knitting the cuffs on the sleeves and the hood with a similar yarn.

Marion, the rest of the babies are sitting in the rocking chair and in their little bassinet. I’ll post a group photo soon—I promise.

Marlies, it really makes a huge difference how they’re dressed. It changes everything. As I said, a group photo of all of them is coming soon.
