Help with Decreases

Hello,
I’d like to knit this headband. But I’m having trouble getting the decreases at the points to look nice.
The basic pattern is a knit-and-purl pattern, right? Am I correct? However, how do you knit the points so that the edge and the pattern align nicely?
I can’t seem to
find any patterns. I hope someone can help.

Good morning, I suspect that each point is finished separately. At the split, they may be slipped decreases so that it tapers to a point. In one direction, work a left-leaning decrease; in the other direction, knit the stitches together.
