My soul warmer...

So, it’s finally done—my soul warmer—and it’s so cozy :-) I used two skeins of Kik’s gradient yarn, mixed with a solid gray,
knitted with size 9 needles, and the cuffs with size 8 needles

Dear Inge, that looks great! Great color, beautiful color transition, and the style and the model are lovely too. Did you design it yourself? Who would have thought that KIK has such beautiful yarn? 

Thanks, Anja—this is only partly my own design. I Googled for a soul warmer knitted in a rectangle and found one. I added the sleeves on my own, since they weren’t included in the original pattern, and the shell-stitch border is my own idea, too. I like things like that, and of course, since I’m a bit on the slender side, I had to figure out how many stitches to cast on with size 9 needles. It also needed to be longer, because I need it to keep my lower back warm :-)
